Driver of the #600 Ford Fiesta in the Rally America series, Dillon Van Way, announces today that he will make the jump from his 2WD Ford Fiesta to a Super Production class 2013 Subaru STI from Vermont SportsCar.
“This has been a long time coming for me,” said Van Way. “After almost 5 years in a two wheel drive car, I am excited to move to the next chapter in my career. I have very limited time competing in a four wheel drive car, and for the remainder of this season I will be focusing on gaining experience in the new platform. I have big goals in the sport and this change, I feel, is an important step in the right direction.
Dillon’s co-driver, Andrew Edwards, will continue to sit in with him as they round out the season. Edwards brings a wealth of knowledge on navigating in an all-wheel drive car to the table and will be helpful when getting used to the faster pace.
Van Way will be driving a Subaru STI operated by Vermont SportsCar out of Colchester, VT.
